One of my personal testimony

THE EAGLE STIRS HER NEST
The Eagle Stirs her nest
The Mother Eagle knows that in order that her young survive in this world they must learn how to fly and soar as young as possible. So in teaching them she stirs her nest making it difficult for them to remain in their comfort zone and depending on her too long. They are forced to get out of the nest. It does not matter whether they feel that they are prepared and ready or not. They are pushed out the next and made to learn not to fly, soar, search for provisions for their survival. God does this too to us --because he knows if he does not we will remain in out comfort zone-- and depend on others and never know how to depend totally on him--and how to survive alone if you have to.
I was adopted and raised by my Great Grandmother, The late Mrs. Sillar Threatt Moore , I was a Single Mother of Two (2) Children, and when i was age ( 16 ) I came home one day from work and Mother had talked to the people that owned a house across the street from her and they had agreed to let me rent the house, a one bedroom little white house. I came in and went to my bedroom and most of my clothes and things were gone. Mama was sitting in her rocking chair watching TV and had not said nothing to me about this.. I went back into the front room and said " mama where are my things? " she smiled and got up and went to the door pointing out the door and said " do you see that little white house across the street? and I said yes i do, and she said that is where you will be living starting today, and i was in total shock and amazement, I said why mama. I do not want to not be with you, and she said Joyce I am a old lady and your chances of out living me are sure to happen,so I do not want to die and leave you here with no one to really care about you and not take care of you. Before I die I want to know that you will know how to survive. Now that was love, but at hat time I did not understand and did not think so. I thought mama had lost her natural born mind. I felt rejected again, thrown away, an out cast. I had already gone through my childhood EXPERIENCING being rejected by my own natural Mother. Mama said ' I am doing this because I love you" and I thought what kind of love is this? mama is crazy!! she got this key and said come on with me. i WAS CRYING SO HARD, but did 't say nothing just walking behind her with all sorts of emotions going though my little mind and thinking have snapped and lost her mind! ! we went across the street she open the door ans turned on the lights and said come in. At 16 I am scared, never lived alone without her before.she showed me the living room, kitchen, and 1 bedroom. She said this your house from now on. I have paid the first month rent, had the lights and water turned on, and a gas bottle outside goes to this gas stove in the kitchen. Wow ! Everything was prepared and in place that was needed. yet was upset BECAUSE I WAS BEING PUSHED OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE AND AFRAID OF THE UNKNOWN. She said now you do not have to be scared because I am close by right across the street. You can come to visit anytime you want to and I am here if you have questions or need advice about something that you do not understand, but you can never come back to live with me, and she gave me the keys and said your landlords live next door and when 1 month comes you are to start paying them $50 month, and your bills are your bills. I will not assist you with them. I HAD BEEN PUSHED OUT OF THE NEST !! --I had to learn to make it on my own without my mama the one I loved so much, and so dearly. My heart broke--
I did it I began to adjust to living alone with just my 2 children and myself at that time..-- i had a bed but nothing in the living room. so I got up the nerve to go to a Western Auto in my city " Pell City, Alabama ," and ask for more credit to get a sofa..my first purchase had been at this store just a few months after my oldest daughter was born May, 20, 1973 for a wringer type washing machine..it took boldness to go back and ask for an increase in credit, I had began to learn how to pray and believe and I prayed and God gave me the strength to do it and I was approved.

We are women of destiny--our name is victory, we have overcome- and we are pregnant with purpose. This year its time we get into our birthing position and P.U.S.H this baby out.. If you are feeling big, and uncomfortable its because you are way overdue. In our mother's womb God placed a purpose inside of us--so seek to know what your devine purpose is--we were not born to just exist Sometimes a spiritual Midwife is needed: a coach to encourage us to P.U.S.H -through this birthing process--Yes it may be very painful--but, IT'S NOT ABOUT OUR PAIN, BUT ABOUT OUR PURPOSE. Be reminded of this ladies: If Jesus had gotten distracted by how people treated him, what they said about him, how he was not liked and accepted in his society, he would not have made it through to fulfill his purpose for being born "our salvation" Please be determined to not die before you fulfill your devine purpose because whatever your purpose is it involves someone else other than you..

Christian Ladies Dress Code
Did you know there is a Christian dress code? You’re probably wondering what I mean by a Christian dress code. Are we supposed to wear some uniform and all look alike? No, but there is a standard in God’s Word for how Christian women should dress, and if we are serious about being a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, we need to understand what that standard is. We all have dress codes, whether we realize it or not–a basis upon which we choose what we will and will not wear. For example, there are certain styles and colors that I don’t even look at when I go shopping because I know they won’t look good on me or I just don’t like them. I’m sure you do the same. Our dress codes go through changes as we go through stages of our lives. But I believe it’s fair to say that we all have dress codes. And your dress code falls into one of these two categories. It is a Dress Code by Design or a Dress Code by Default.
Dress Code by Design: This is a dress code that you have thought through and made some decisions about what you will and will not wear. It is based upon your own values and morals, as well as your understanding of the effect and impression your clothes make
. Dress Code by Default: This means that you have assimilated a dress code without really thinking of the implications. You’ve let others do the thinking for you and have accepted their conclusions and choices about what looks good and therefore what you want to wear. Where does your dress code come from?
What do you think are the motives for the fashion industry when they design clothes for women? It is to sell clothes, to make money. Often they look for something so different, so outlandish, so pushing the envelope, that it will catch the attention of the buyers and movie stars and that will sell their fashions. Young women are particularly influenced by the idols of the day. And few if any of those idols dress with modesty. In fact, they dress to achieve the sexiest look possible. Modesty is not one of their criteria. Why do we have to mimic women who dress immodestly? What makes us slaves to what the fashion industry produces? Why can’t we be independent and make choices based on what we like and what is appropriate? Most of us think of ourselves as very independent and we don’t like the idea that someone tells us what we can and can’t do. Why, then, would we allow the often debased and impure examples of Hollywood and the glamour industry to tell us how we can dress? I would say a word to mothers and fathers of young girls. Please begin when they are very young to teach them to dress modestly. Fathers can have a strong influence on how their daughters dress by taking an interest, complimenting them on appropriate clothes, and setting clear guidelines and boundaries. Often I look at young girls and think, “How did your mother let you out of the house looking like that?” Maybe it’s a fight you just don’t want to tackle, but you have a responsibility, as a Christian mom, to role model modesty yourself and insist on it for your daughters. It is possible to dress very “cool” without being immodest. Let’s look at our responsibility as women to our brothers in Christ in the way we dress. Paul wrote to the Romans: Make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way.(Romans 14:13) A Christian man has written: “People feel afraid to ask Christian women to cover themselves up; we’re scared they’ll think we’re judging them in self-righteousness. We’re scared they won’t like us anymore or that they’ll blame us and say that it’s our problem, not theirs.” “It’s difficult for men to find a good way to say that they’re offended when women dress immodestly at church. It’s difficult because if he says it, he sounds like a member of Sexaholics Anonymous. There is no standard way in evangelical circles for Christian men politely to ask Christian women to be more modest.” I know this is true, because many men in my church have discussed this with me. It may be hard for a man to express this concern, but I can do it for them. Women, we have a responsibility to help our brothers in Christ by dressing modestly. And while they are responsible for their thoughts and actions, I believe God will hold us accountable when we knowingly dress immodestly for the purpose of looking sexy. Do you want a man or a boy to be attracted to you simply because of sexual desire or lust? That’s what prostitutes do. Or do you want to attract a man because he sees something much more valuable in you than just outward beauty? What kind of man do you want to attract?
The way you dress sends that message.

. Dress Code by Default: This means that you have assimilated a dress code without really thinking of the implications. You’ve let others do the thinking for you and have accepted their conclusions and choices about what looks good and therefore what you want to wear. Where does your dress code come from?
- What your friends are wearing?
- What you see on today’s stars or models?
- What you find prominently displayed in magazines and stores?
- What your mother told you to wear or not to wear?
- What you need to wear to make the right impression?
- What you think you have to wear to attract the boys/men?
- What you believe to be appropriate dress for a Christian woman?
- We should dress modestly, with decency and propriety.
- We should not wear clothes or accessories for the purpose of trying to draw attention to ourselves or to “show off.”
- Inner beauty is far more important than outer beauty and it should be far more highly desired that outward things we do to look good.
